1.) Linksfield – Qualified Sonographer

Minimum Requirements:

  • Formal Ultrasound qualification
  • HPCSA Registration
  • Excellent patient care and passion for ultrasound
  • Flexible regarding working hours when needed
  • A valid driver’s license with own reliable transport

Main Responsibilities:

  • Performing ultrasounds in abdominal and pelvic, musculoskeletal, small parts, vascular, cranial/neonatal/paediatric, 1st trimester pregnancy, interventional procedures etc.

Hours of Work:

  • Able to work weekly shift rotations of 08h00 – 17h00, 08h30 – 17h30, 09h00 – 18h00 plus one Saturday morning every 4 weeks from 09h00 – 13h00 (with an option of a ½ day off, or payment for these hours)
  • Voluntary Overtime Available:
  • Saturday Afternoon: 6-hour shift
  • Sunday:                                             12-hour shift
  • Night Call:                                         12- hour shift Friday to Thursday
  • Public Holiday Day Call: 12-hour shift

2.) Alberton – Diagnostic Radiographer

• Qualified Radiographer with completed community service, preferred two years post community service
experience
• HPCSA Registration
• Basic CT experience
• Ability to build and maintain good professional relations with all stakeholders (Radiologist, referring doctors,
matrons, ward nurses, and internal staff)
• A valid driver’s license with own reliable transport

Main Responsibilities:
• Qualified Radiographer with completed community service, preferred two years post community service
experience
• HPCSA Registration
• Basic CT experience
• Ability to build and maintain good professional relations with all stakeholders (Radiologist, referring doctors,
matrons, ward nurses, and internal staff)
• A valid driver’s license with own reliable transport

3.) Linksfield – Diagnostic Radiographer

Minimum Requirements:

  • Radiography Diploma/Degree
  • Current HPCSA registration
  • Qualified Radiographer with completed community service, preferably 2 years
  • CT Experience including brain, spine, chest, abdomen pre-and post-contrast studies
  • Ability to build and maintain good professional relations with all stakeholders (Radiologists, referring doctors, matrons, ward nurses, and all internal staff- clinical and admin)
  • Some Short/On-line courses completed on self- development and soft skills
  • A valid driver’s license and own transport

  • Performing Diagnostic Imaging Procedures
  • Patient Preparation and Care
  • Equipment Maintenance
  • Image Evaluation & Quality Control
  • Record Keeping and Data Management

  • Ensure you understand the POPI Act legislation
  • Perform other appropriate tasks and responsibilities assigned within the realm of your knowledge, skills and abilities to ensure the effective and efficient running of your department including but not limited to quality assurance, tidying up of rooms, refill of stock, assist with quality control tests etc.
  • Practice ALARA principles
  • Assist with stock, cleaning of patient rooms, care of equipment and cassettes
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of clinical, technical and radiographic developments and best practice
  • Always maintain strict confidentiality and discretion towards patients.

Hours of Work:

  • Shift rotation on a weekly basis:

    06h00 – 14h30, 07h00 – 15h30, 07h30 – 16h00, 08h00 – 17h00, 08h30 – 17h30, 09h00 – 18h00

Weekend Overtime – every 4th weekend:

  • Sat: 06h00 – 18h00 (time off given for the morning and OT payment for afternoon – 6 hours)
    Sun: 06h00 – 18h00 (paid as OT)
